Change sim provider but keep paying for phone monthly

I would like to know if I could change to a different provider than sky and keep the same number. but still keep paying for my phone monthly.

You keep paying for the handset until the credit is paid off.

You can move your phone number to a different network if you have had it for 12 months or more, if you have then once you have ordered a sim for your new provider then this link explains how to get a Pac code from Sky to give it to your new network so that the number can be moved over:
