Cancelling subscription will I receive incoming calls still

If I cancel my sim subscription will I receive incoming calls still. I know I won't be able to make out going calls but will people be able to call me instead. It just I want to cancel my subscription due to having very weird calls from people claiming to be sky

If you cancel the sim then you will not be able to receive or make any calls as you have to have an active sim in the phone before being able to do both.
