Can’t upgrade my phone. Says my credit was unsuccessful. I have called sky. They tried too.

I've been trying to upgrade my phone. And it says my credit is unsuccessful. I rang up sky and they couldn't understand why I couldn't upgrade either. They told me to join the election thing to vote which I did and then try again after that but it still didn't work. I've always paid my bills on time and been with sky for 3 years

@AbigailSkilton  Tenure and paying your bills on time with Sky isn't all your credit report looks at, there will be other factors, such as amount of credit already being used with other providers etc.   You can check you credit file for free with the likes of Experian.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

That's the thing though. I don't pay for much else. I know my credit score and it hasn't really changed. It's fair. The only contract i have and that's with my phone. I don't have a credit card either

That won't help. See the advice provided by Equifax or another similar company

Be aware that if you keep trying to order the device this could further impact your credit score. If you contact Sky they would be able to confirm that’s the reason your order was cancelled but not why you failed the credit check in the first place as they are not allowed to view your credit record. 

By the way, any upfront payment you’ve made should hopefully be refunded after about 14 days.

Going through same thing at the moment got excellent credit score yet still being refused by sky been on phone with them and all I keep getting is they don't know why I'm getting refused still no further I'm now waiting for what ever person spoke to yesterday has done been told first bit take 3-5 days then a further 20 days
