Hi, so just changed to I phone 16 and since transferring number across I'm having trouble receiving messages. In the messages, send and receive setting I can't store the number as cog keeps spinning . Apple say new sim issue, sky say need new phone which Apple say is fine .. tried adding e sim instead of real sim and no change . ?

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. You will need to set up your Wifi connection again.

Thanks already tried that one which worked initially to store the new number to phone setting but not on messages setting!

Turned out to be SIM card . New physical sim and problem sorted
