Can’t pay mobile phone bill

I've been trying to pay a late sky mobile bill for over 15 days now and whenever I put my card details in and try to pay over the phone, the employee on the other side of the phone keeps telling me that my card is not authorised and to try again. I have used theee different cards now. I have went to the bank and they have told me that I don't need to authorise payments and that they don't even receive a notification that the payment has been declined, so now I'm confused, is it the bank or sky? I can't use the mysky app because it shows me a different phone that I'm not paying for that never came. I need urgent help otherwise I will have to cancel the contract.

How is your bill each month usually paid, by a card or via a direct debit ?
