Can’t get my old number with new esim
I had a physical sky mobile SIM card but lost my phone. I ordered a new handset and eSIM on the sky site but have been given a new phone number. I want to keep my old number. The people in the sky call centre in India have not been able to help and I need to sort this urgently

Hi @Stephen92SP you can't port a number from one sky plan to another. What you need to do is contact sky and order a replacement sim for your old plan and get them to cancel the new one. There is a workaround which involves porting the old number to a different network on PAYG then porting back to the new sim but as you don't have the old sim you can't do this.

@Stephen92SP You should have just converted your existing sim to an esim as this would have been the most straight forward way to move the number over ratherthan order a new sim.

What you need to do is to contact Sky and ask them to send you a replacement sim for the one you left, it will be a physical sim but will have the same number as the lost one. You might want to ask them to cancel the eSIM one as well as you will now be charged for the both of them unless it is cancelled.
