I doubt anyone at the sky call centre will be able to say why this has happened @KevNewMedia is a sky staff member and has confirmed there will be no charges.

I will try the 0044 trick in the morning.
Do I just remove the 1st 0 of the number and replace it with 0044?
(removed) I will be reporting this.

Yes drop the 0 and use 0044

I called sky again mentioning the 0044 fix, they haven't a clue whats going on but confirmed I wouln't have call charges using this method. Now gotta spend an hour updating all my contacts. They did waive this months bill as way of an apology so I suppose that's something.

I have been waiting for sky to call me back its been longer than 72 hours. Their customer service needs making a lot better.
As it happens I tried calling my own landline to check if I'm still having issues but it seemed to call , to my surprise.
A bit of communication from sky to say they fixed it or to check I'm still having the problems would have been helpful.
