I have a Sky pay monthly mobile and would like to be able to use my iPad when I do not have wifi can I get an additional Sky sim that willl work in my iPad ?

Hi @sam551 yes just login to your account then go to sky.com and order a new sim/plan. You can then insert this is your iPad.
