Can i get a new phone and use old sim or fo i have to buy new data plan

I'm looking at getting a new phone , I have currently payed off my phone on jan and just paying for the sim, can I buy a new monthly phone and put current sim in or do I have to buy a new data plan

@Beckymrdds You can just order a phone and use your current Sim, you don't have to order a new plan.
