Can I use my mobile abroad in spain

I am going on holiday and don't want to incur extra mobile charges whilst in Spain what should I do

To use your usual package in Spain will cost you £2 for every 24 hours use and this is activated when you send a text, make a call or use more than 10mb of mobile data. If you do not want to pay this fee then make sure mobile data and roaming is turned off before you leave the UK.

You just need to make sure roaming is turned on in your phone settings and you have set a spend cap sufficient for £2 per day. As soon as you send a text, make a call or use some data it kicks in.

As above, this is not an option unless you can rely on  local (free) WiFi.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @Lml67  this is what I do to avoid any roaming charges. Turn off roaming and mobile data in your phone settings then turn on flight mode before leaving the UK. Then once at your destination you can turn WiFi on (still in flight mode) to access any free WiFi services.
