Myself and my daughter are with Sky mobile. When we're on the phone, sometimes it cuts out, I can't hear her but she can hear me, so we hang up and start again.
Yesterday, it was the other way about, I could hear her but she couldn't hear me.
Happened again this morning so she called me from her boyfriends phone, also Sky and it happened again.
Were both on Apple, mine is only 6 months old. Any ideas? Is it my phone or the network?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt could be either so the first thing to try is to order yourself a replacement sim:

Thank you, will try that.

So following on from this, I ordered a new sim and it's still doing it. Did it twice today so I contacted Apple. They seem intent on blaming the network but if about 5 of us are with Sky Mobile and I'm the only one having problems, then I don't think it's that.
I have an appointment at the Apple Store on Monday but I don't think they'll find anything so I'm not sure what to do, it's extremely annoying when it just cuts out mid call.

@caesarome This is what I'm thinking because I followed your advice and got a new sim and no one around me is having problems on Sky.

A wee update.
Hone was checked out by Apple and no problems found but they agreed an exchange.
Brand new phone, still Iphone 11 just set up. Cut out on the first call. 😡
It only happens with her but it doesn't happen with her when she's on the phone to anyone else.
Both of us with Sky Mobile.
Any suggestions?

@karend68 Me and my partner are experiencing exactly the same thing, when we contact Sky we get told it's possibly because we are on the edge of the 5G coverage, can't be true as it happens regularly while I am all over the country.
Have you had any success with getting the issue resolved?

@karend68 - I had the same issue for a few weeks now, been very intermittent at times. I'm using a S20 5G. I called Sky and went through some troubleshooting on the phone settings (which I've been through many times myself). As a option, they sent me a replacement sim. I'm swapping my phone next month, so when the new phone arrives, I'll try the new sim and see if that makes a difference.
I don't think it's a phone issue, as it seems by what others are saying including yourself, it is affecting a varied amount of users using different mobile handsets.

I'm having the same issue. iPhone 12. Roughly 5 minutes into a call. No sound or they can't hear me

In answer to the last few replies..... No this hasn't been resolved. I haven't contacted Sky about it because I'm not going through any troubleshooting. Its a brand new phone, same make and model though and a brand new sim.
Still only happens with the daughter, although the other night I was on the phone to someone else and it was the opposite, I could hear him, he couldn't hear me. He's not on Sky.
Currently, when I'm on the phone to her, I take note of where she is, what room etc... Just to narrow it down a bit.

Hi,
This is also happening to me, only when I'm on the phone to my mum. I can hear her crystal clear but she can't hear me. Brand new phone also tried a new sim....
seriously thinking of leaving sky, I have had nothing but problems since I moved over.

My calls have been cutting out as well over the last few months. It started off just on phonecalls to my husband who's also on sky, but now it's happening on calls with anyone after a few minutes. It's been really embarrassing when its happened with work phone calls - landlines as well as mobiles. Sometimes i can hear them and they cant hear me, sometimes the other way round. I've changed my sim and apple have checked my iphone 12 and said there's nothing wrong with it. Im at a loss as to what to try next! Has anyone had any luck solving this?
Thanks
