Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

You are not the only one. I have this happen everyday  exactly the same issues. Family members & work colleagues have this issue aswell, it's always when the signal goes from 5g or 4G over to 3G. The call has to be cut off & redial the number. It's so frustrating..

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

I am having these problems as well. Really like sky but if I can't hold a phone call its not fit for purpose and its unsafe. I can hear the person on the other end of the line but after about a minute they can't hear me. Plenty of bars of signal. Checked phone and settings and all ok, wiped SIM but no difference. From what people have said on here it's a network issue. No problems when I was with EE in the same locations. Can't get any help on the automated assistance its terrible, would like to talk to a human but can't get through and can't ring on my phone.

Would like Sky to make contact, only been with them a few wks but can't stand this. Has anyone had any joy?

I'm having the same issue - not phone as I've had it checked out by apple. Anyone had this solved? Else I will have to leave sky.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

Nope, seems they don't care! This has been going on years now. All they do is send out new sims and advise you to turn your phone on and off.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

I've just pulled 5 sims, I suggest you all do the same! They didn't even try to keep me! Don't don't care what so ever! Worse customer service I have ever received..

I've been in sales and customer service for 18 years and sky you really do top the list on the worse!

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

I'm having the exact same problem having recently changed to SKY mobile from BT. It has never happened to me before so I think it must either be the SKY SIM card or the network they use. Unsure what to do now.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

It's not the phone. I've been on Sky mobile for years and never had an issue until my wife moved over. Now every time I call her or she calls me I cuts out after about 5 secs. It only happens sky to sky, I can call anyone else not on sky and it's fine.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

The same thing is happening to me for the past month. My calls are cutting out and they can hear me and I can't hear them. I always have to call back...this isn't acceptable.

Sky - this needs sorting!

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

This is also happening to me.  Me and my girls are all on sky and my phone does not connect to their phones and when I talk to other people on different networks I can't hear them but they can hear me then it will be the other way round on another call. I called Sky and they told me it's because live near two phone masts and I should make call's on WhatsApp instead???  So I pay £90 a month not to be able to use my mobile. It's so infuriating. I am seriously thinking about going back to my old provider. Never ever had this trouble and it seems it's quite a common thing with sky

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

I'm having the exact same issue - it started a few weeks ago when on the phone to my dad (both sky) and he could hear me but I couldn't hear him. It's now started happening on when on the phone to my partner who's also on sky but the other way round where he can't hear me.

tried a different sim and also put my sim into my old phone and it still happens. Hopefully sky can get this sorted as it only seems to affect calls between sky mobile customers.

if anyone found a solution please let me know! Thanks

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

My wife and I are having the exact same problem. Both iPhone, both on Sky. Cuts out after about one minute, but with the other person still being able to hear.

Doesn't happen with anybody else on nay network, only when it's Sky to Sky. Has anybody had this solution solved? I've seen a Sky employee @Lisa-P1987 respond occasionally but never seen anyone post that it's been resolved. I'm going to move from Sky if it can't be.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

When calling those also in Sky Mobile I.e. in my immediate household, we've resorted to using FaceTime or FaceTime audio as this doesn't cut out due to using VoIP rather than Cell network.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

Just wondering if you ever got this sorted because the same is happening with me and my husband ( both sky mobile) it's cut out during important calls at times, really frustrating.
