Buying another monthly contract phone

I recently bought a 36 month contract for a phone about a week ago and I want to purchase another with the same sky account, but it's saying that they are unable to do it. The first credit check went through perfectly with the first phone but it's now saying for the second, I'm unable to pay monthly.

Seems like they cannot offer you credit.  Details here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/credit-checks-sky-mobile

It might be that you have failed the credit check for this second device, so pretty much the only option would be to pay it all off in one go if you are able to that is as there will not be any other way around this.

Re: Buying another monthly contract phone

i've checked my credit score and it is excellent, so I'm not 100% sure why I can't buy a second device. Could it potentially be that I only recently bought the first one

See the link - your credit score alone won't guarantee credit.

Re: Buying another monthly contract phone

how long roughly do you think I should wait before trying again to buy a second device?

I'm afraid no one can tell you that.  No one knows how Sky calculate credit and affordability- it could be months or even years before they are prepared to risk more credit.

Buying a second device

I have recently bought an iPhone 16 pro and still currently in the cooling off period. Should I wait until it's complete before trying to buy a second phone on the same sky account?
