Burt put phone over night that nearly caught a light

my phone nearly caught alight because while I was asleep my charger melted and burt the whole charging port away and the inside on my phone so I contacted my phone company and I have been strongly advised to not use my phone and definitely not try charge it. Told sky and said to contact Samsung and they want me to bring it in and the nearest store is in London and I cant get there because I am disabled, my son goes into London for me and they refuse to replace the phone, I explained that i cant have the same phone because I have heavy anxiety that it will happen again, im disabled single parent, i cant and won't take that chance. My son tried to explain and they basically sent him away saying come back on Friday to book a repair because they dont do replacements...I now have no phone and tried to contact sky on the live chat because I cant call them because I have no phone and there is no way to contact them it's just a bot that repeats itself....I'm in such a state of anxiety about this as I don't trust a burnt out phone even after repaired...it happened before what's going to stop it from happening again.

Hi @Chantal82  this usually happens when a charger not from Samsung has been used. If Samsung are saying the phone has to go in for repair then there isn't much you can do. If you don't want to do that then you would need to purchase a different phone. Not sure there is anything anyone here can do.

@Chantal82

If it was the charger that burnt then it has nothing to do with the phone so as Sky will never give you a free replacement you would need to purchase one yourself from somewhere.
