Broken phone after 3 months
My Galazy Flip 6 - first the port no longer worked but solved this by using a wireless charger. Not ideal but it was a work around.
Now the screen has totally frozen and I can't use it. Sky want me to return for repair taking 14 days to mend. They won't send me a replacement, instead "due to being a diamond customer" could sell me one at a discount. I have read such bad reviews about this phone and rather than repair and it happen again I want a refund - anyone know if they will do this and they refused when I asked. My 4 was wonderful and wish I'd never swapped.
To repair they said it must be wiped or I will be charged - how can I wipe when the screen is frozen and nothing works. Charged??!!! They've sold me a phone that breaks within 3 months. For a customer of over 30 years I am fed up and just want a refund or a different phone.
Anyone managed to get a refund or new phone? I am due to go on holiday on saturday and all my bank accounts, flight, hotel everything is on there and I can't acces it even to transfer to another phone. I've had to buy a cheaper one elsewhere (as refused to buy through Sky even with a discount) and start again.

Re: Broken phone after 3 months
What you want in a replacement just isn't possible unless this one can not be fixed which needs to be investigated first so you can either go via Sky or via Samsung themselves.
Of course there is nothing from stopping you taking out a new contract for a new phone but you will still have to pay for your Flip 6.

It is a shame you did read these reviews before taking out a contract on it !

Re: Broken phone after 3 months
From a consumer law point of view you are not immediately entitled to a replacement.
For an item less than 6 months you have to give them an opportunity to repair (or replace at their discretion).
However, the fault is deemed there and the retailer has to prove it wasn't caused by the purchaser (such as dropping it etc.)
After 6 months the purchaser has to prove it was faulty at the time of purchase.
I'm not aware of any retailer that will simply replace a device without given the opportunity to repair. (Which means you are without a device during this period - there's no right to a 'loan' device)
Purchasing an additional one isn't a great solution as you end up owning 2!
