I am a little nervous about changing my SIM card as this has always been done for me by somebody else. The customer service assistant gave me a number to contact and give my PAC to when my new SIM arrives. However my Sky SIM has arrived with instructions to activate it myself using the MySky app. Is it better to use the app or contact customer service? Will one transfer my old number to the new SIM any quicker?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Dave8787 i have always used the app and had no issues. Some who activate and use the PAC at the same time have had issues. My advice is activate the sim from sky first. When it's activated and up and running, making calls, sending texts etc then give sky the PAC from your old network (can be done in the app too) and the next working day your number should transfer (porting doesn't happen at weekends).
