Being charged despite being out of contract mobile
I have just discovered a mobile plan i have for a tablet came out of contract in April this year, yet i am still paying everything month for it.

That's correct. Contracts continue until you give notice to cancel them.

Contracts don't just stop when the minimum term (as happened here) have expired as they continue until you cancel it.
