Pre order delivery
Hi
I Pre ordered the New Iphone 17 Pro Max
it says we have arranged delivery however no update on the tracking of it. i pre ordered it thursday night would it have it some stage this week?

The guy I spoke to at Sky this morning said anyone who had placed an order with delivery date showing 19/09 would get an sms today advising when it will be despatch/delivered. He said that their system had an update from manufacturer on Saturday so he said that msg would be sent out to customers today. I haven't received anything though!! He told me to expect the phone to be delivered on or before Thursday/Friday. I'm not so sure though!!

I have moved your post into a thread discussing iphone 17 orders.
As we’re customers we have no insight into current stock levels or any delivery timescales. The most up to date information (after credit checks are complete) on your particular order should become available at:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/track-sky-order
When your order is ready you should get an email from Sky, and then another from the courier (in the UK that’s usually DPD) which will have details of your 1 hour delivery time slot.
NOTE: I only provide help on the forum boards and NOT via Direct Messaging

Ah right ok thanks, im just trying figure out if i will get mine this week or it will be 4th......i did mine on the 13th so maybe mine will be the 4th

i ordered mine on the 15th, and Sky have advised I 'should' receive the phone this week...

Wouldn't hold your breath on getting it this week. Ordered mine on the 12th and it's still "in progress - coming soon". No updates apart from they expect it to be delivered by 4th Oct despite initially promising 19th, then 26th Sep

Seems to be a lot of "happy-go-lucky-you'll-get-your-phone-when-it's-available" type of folks on here 🙂
What most people, and myself, take issue with is the advertising of a pre-order of a product for delivery from 19th September, when Sky knew full well at a certain point they would be unable to fulfill this.
First come first served is the absolute correct policy; and it beggars belief if there are instances of this not being followed.
Moreover, in an ideal (and honest!) world, when Sky then allocated out the stock quotas they had, they then should have put a real time update on their landing page to say so.
That way, anybody subsequently signing up (going through all the commitments of a credit check etc) does so with their eyes open. There would be far less unhappy people on here if they were given that information to allow them to make an informed purchasing choice before proceeding.
The ongoing communication with Sky is abysmal as well. I placed my order on 17th September. I then contacted them on 18th September checking if everything was ok, to be told "your order will be updated first thing on 19th September with a delivery slot". At the point of being told that, unbeknownst to me there was a message lurking in my Sky User Inbox (no notification of it in my email), saying that they expect to deliver my device on 26th September. Judging by the messages on here, I'm not convinced that will happen either, but I'm resigned to waiting due to the stain on my credit report and the problems trying to get that removed if I decided to cancel and take my chances elsewhere.
One other point of note is the selling price. I ordered the iPhone 17 which retails at £799 as far as I can see. What I signed up to is 36 monthly payments of £25 at 0% interest, totalling £900. In hindsight, that seems to be a ~13% mark up in the price...!

I couldn't have put it better myself, everything you've said it's hitting the nail on the head!
Not one customer would have minded if there was transparency from the outset.
I wasn't able to place my order until the 17th as every time I tried to pay the uplift got it wouldn't accept the payment on the app or website so I had to ring them. I wasn't expecting my phone on the 19th but my brother ordered his on 12th and it still hasn't arrived.....
