Re: Exchange phone

She needs to contact Sky to cancel that order  (and then reorder that will require a new credit check)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @Tejinder001  you will need to call sky to cancel the order and place a new order, there will be another credit check and due to supply issues there could be a longer wait for a new phone.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

All these people saying "calm down it's just a phone" etc, are underestimating the inconvenience and hassle Sky have created.. Phones are important to people - everyone has one, we use them daily for lots of important things, that's the reality of life these days. Yes it's a "first world problem", but we're in the first world.

Yes this happens every year, but lots of people aren't aware of that and by now Sky should have learned their lessons from previous launches (spoiler: they haven't)....

  • People having to book half a day, or even a whole day off work when they've been told a delivery date (as DPD have to deliver directly to the customer and not leave it anywhere due to value), only for the delivery to be delayed with little or no notice.
  • Sky's customer service agents overseas being completely frustrating to deal with - overexplaining things, giving false information and telling you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone, or diverting your call back into the queue where you end of speaking to someone brand new and having to explain the issue for the 41st time
  • Being given the run around by Sky on the phone trying to cancel an order, being told Sky's systems don't allow them to cancel a pre-order despite it not having been dispatched and being advised they have to wait for the delivery and refuse delivery. I was on the phone for over two hours trying to cancel an order, being put on hold for two-thirds of that.
  • Customers ordering phones and being given very specific delivery dates ("For delivery on 19th September") only to receive a message on the day telling them it's delayed for two weeks or more
  • Customers ordering within minutes of pre-orders opening, having their orders confirmed, then delayed, and people ordering after them getting deliveries before them
  • Despite all of the inconveniences above, with people sometimes spending hours trying to get answers, you're lucky to get an apology let alone any sort of goodwill gesture (E.g. a bill credit) for the huge amounts of hassle caused
  • Sky customer service obviously being fully aware of this thread and other complaints elsewhere and not saying a single thing about it publicly.

All these little things add up. The worst part as I said is Sky just not learning from their mistakes year after year. I reluctantly stay with Sky purely because of they way you can pay for devices without them being attached to an airtime contract, but if that wasn't they case I'd have left years ago.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

But the people writing how much of an inconvenience it is are currently writing on their phones😂😂

the thing is people want the phone they want straight away which is a fair one but how many millions of iPhones do you think have been sold worldwide there's not an infinite amount made so its inevitable they will sell out

my missus ordered on Saturday last week with o2 and had it delivered on release day I'm still waiting on mine with sky is it rubbish yes but is it an inconvenience no not really

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I don't really mind waiting but what does grind my gears is knowing I ordered way way before people that have already received their devices

That in my opinion is just unacceptable

I ordered 1.05pm on pre order day and signed my contract at 1.11pm , I've seen multiple people posting they ordered hours after that , so,e of them days later and they get the exact device I ordered before me

It's just wrong!

Delivery iPhone 17 pro max

I've ordered the iPhone 17 pro max to be delivered Saturday 21st September 2025 or Monday 22nd September but I've not had any order details sent over or updates. If it is going to be delivered tomorrow I'm concerned I will not be in. I also need an order number for tracking.

@Zahra3

Your order should be processed from when you signed the credit agreement so the latest on it should be found here:

@Hannahsparham

This link applies to you as well.

Re: Pre order of iPhone 17 049 max

Thank you but all it says is coming soon, no date at all even though I ordered  it about 13.45 on the 12th sept. The lack of communication from sky is totally unacceptable, but thank you for trying to help.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

@skypuffy Ahhh yes!! Haha that's no worries! Yes I ordered the 17 Pro Max Silver 512GB on 12th and it was delivered yesterday! It was supposed to come Friday but the DPD driver couldnt be bothered to actually ring up to my flat and just left after taking a blurry pic!! But I have had it since yesterday! No idea why sky are telling people they are delayed as they clearly arent!!
