Apple iPhone 16 range now available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I've just rung up and spoken to a lovely lady.  I had ordered the iPhone 16 plus in pink as the pink was earlier delivery however I was just told another week at least to wait to hear when it will be delivered so I've just cancelled that order and ordered the teal 512gb as that is in stock and was the one I wanted originally.  I hope everyone else gets somewhere soon

The site will state it'll take upwards of 4 weeks for delivery to commence, but one user posted a live chat screenshot which stated that delivery will start this week? 

what's the real situation? when can i expect my phone? 

ordered a desert titanium 16 pro max in 512gb on the 17th or 18th.

@champagneslay I ordered on the 14th September at about 1pm. I don't reckon I'm getting the phone today though. This is really poor from sky and I've sent them a complaint. The whole idea of a preorder is to get the product the day it comes out before everyone else 🤣

So false advertising and false information provided to most sky mobile customers. No where on website or app does it say or did it say there would be a massive delay and most people who ordered on preorder release day the 13th won't receive there phones on the 20th.

We have been informed you'll be given a date 'on' (whereby that's the expected delivery date)

OR

a date 'from' (whereby that date is the earliest possible date for delivery but could take up to 2 weeks).

Now been told by Abdul that sky management and employees have been providing me with false information and they don't actually know when we'll be receiving the phones as there's no stock.

So odd when I phoned at 10:35 and they said they couldn't say and would be after my iPhone 16 pro max natural titanium is expected to be delivered which is 21st October they say so we're all being told diffrent stuff

I think an issue we are having here is endless conflicting information rendering it all false. I don't believe the customer service team has a clue when stock is arriving and sky have put in their order and Apple are drip feeding stock as it's available to shops and carriers. This isn't exclusive to sky it is happening globally with all stores and carriers including Apple themselves. 

there is a global shortage of them and it happens every year especially with the lower storage option pro maxes, even Apple themselves is 4-6 weeks back order for some models and if they suggest that to be the time until dispatch I'd believe that more then what anyone else has to say given they have a system based on their own internal information. 

based on past experience myself and friends have had if you pre order on the day and did not get your device in the initial shipment then your going to be waiting 2-3 weeks for it, and it happens every single year.

it is SUPER annoying because I'd rather be given a set in stone date even if it's distant so I can just forget about it instead of having a glimmer of hope that it's going to ship any moment but until people start uploading screenshots of their devices shipping here then I think we all need to curb our excitement.

Whats funny is the iPhone 16 has the worst demand in a long time preorders for it are 22% down over iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 was also down on iPhone 14 and they still can't make enough for launch ! 

while i do think it should be made more clear when buying that you probebrly won't be getting it for a few weeks after launch, ultimately this is an Apple issue not a sky issue and customer service are not being told anything secret and they don't know anymore than us. I imagine rumours are rife around the customer service office and they are telling us what they think is inside information but is actually not true at all.

@Mikeyuk So essentially they are still feeding us all false info, they don't know wen it will be so does that mean that those os us who had emails when we ordered saying 'on' 20th which came and went, but were sent texts with dates ranging from 'by' 27th Sept, 4th Oct and 21st Oct are all bull* as we will probably end up with the dates being pushed back again and again. Why are they even still accepting orders!!! Tesco and Asda for example you can't order the phones, they say out of stock. Sky are just causing even more problems!
