Address blacklisted by sky, unable to take a contract

When I try to take a mobile or SIM only contract on my address, it gets automatically registered. Sky staff said that it's due to address getting blacklisted by sky due to default payer on the address. I moved to this address 2 years back and nobody in the house have a contract with sky since then. Is there anyway to get rid off the blacklisted mark on this address. I don't want to get treated like this for the mistake of previous unknown tenant.

Hmmm, as far as I was aware credit scores relate to people and not addresses...

I do agree with this. But in this case where I have a good credit score. My housemate at the same address also tried the same and got rejected. He has a really good credit score too. Don't know what the actual problem is.

I believe that suppliers can maintain (or subscribe to) lists of addresses which have been used as locations for fraudulent activity: this is separate to credit scoring of named individuals.
