Abroad with no phone signal

Does anyone know if there are still problems with Sky Mobile and loosing your phone signal abroad. 

Been in Mallorca for the last week and this afternoon my phone signal vanished, been working absolutely fine before now. I'm now unable to do anything when not in my hotel room!!! 

I've done all the troubleshooting, nothing works, all the settings appear as they should but still no signal. I can't phone Sky as suggested as I have no signal. 

My husband is cycling north to south tomorrow but won't be able to communicate with me as I make my way to meet him! Hopefully nothing serious happens! 

Can anyone help? Sky? Help?

Given the timing and your location, one might hazard a guess that the extremely major meltdown of the power grid across the Spanish mainland and beyond could be something of a factor...

Having the exact same issue in Alcudia across 3 mobiles too. We can't even get connected to the Wi-Fi at the hotel either since this started. Sorry this doesn't help but got to know we're not the only ones!

As the BBC is now reporting Spain has declared a state of emergency, it's probably not just you: trans-national critical infrastructure failure does tend to be like that.

Thanks both, seems like this is the issue.

Have no roaming on phone. Was working fine and not nothing. Can only get on phone with wifi at hotel. With a number of work colleagues, all their phones working, some on O2. Only myself with Sky not working.

Stands a good chance it's connected (excuse the pun) with the massive power outages on mainland Spain.
