Hi there!
so I'm planning on getting a mobile on a 36 month contract with the 100mb data plan but when I see the data plan it shows as "£0 a month for 24 months, £5 thereafter".
1. Does that mean the data plan carries on with the 36 month phone contract but with the £5 on top?
2. Can I cancel the data plan once it hits the 24 month period and I can continue just paying off the mobile contract without the extra £5?
thanks!

Hi @Dylandee yes you will be able to cancel the sim when the £5 charge is due to kick in and continue just paying for the device.

Re: 36 month phone contract but what happens after the 24 months with the sim?
First of all for a 36 month contract you need to select swap24. (Swap36 is a 4 year contract)
Secondly, the 100MB data plan is not designed to be used as a primary SIM. That amount will be used in a matter of minutes/hours. (It's great if you have an existing piggybank with data in)
AFAIK all data plans are a minimum of 12 months. But yes, it will increase the overall monthly payment.

Thanks for your reply! One more question, will the mobile cost itself stay the same throughout the duration of the 36 month contract?

Thanks for your reply @PandJ2020!
yeah I currently got a really good sim deal already that is cheaper than the other higher options that sky provides, more interested in the phone. Don't mind paying that little extra since it's over the span of 3 years and I do tend to keep onto my phone. Currently using iPhone 11 since 2019!
One more question, will the mobile cost itself stay the same throughout the duration of the 36 month contract?

@Dylandee If you have taken out the swap 24 option(36 month contract) then after 24 months your device payment usually drop a little, they certainly will not increase.
