36 month contract but am paying for 37 months?

I signed up to a 36 month contract in September 2022 and 36 months have been paid but I'm being charged another instalment in September 2025 therefore overpaying by one month. Can you please why? Thank you.

What date does the 36 month contract finish on and what is your billing date each month ?

@Ccjam  Are you sure it's for the device and not the sim?

 

the sim contract will continue until you give 31 days notice to cancel

Thank you. I'm sure it's the device as I've had the same sim for years.

Thank you for replying. My contract started on 16/9/22 and payment is taken on the 15 th of each month. Why would I have to make 37 payments?

I appear to be in the same boat- My account shows payment for Sept hasn't been paid even though it has. Future bill (Oct) shows another £50 charge for the phone yet my contract runs from Oct 2022 to Sept 2025.

Either the payment isn't credited to the account until the bill is generated or something isn't right.

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/mobile/device/x/payments Shows Sept payment hasn't been paid but Sept bill shows paid.

Purchase date: 

09/10/22.
Billing period:
27th to the 26th.

 

I can only think that either the bill will correct itself when Sept bill is generated or as payment is taken 1 week after the bill is generated Sept charge was for August bill, so in reality the contract is from Nov 22 - Oct 24 for the billing & I do have 1 payment left.
