I got a new MacBook Pro with OS Sonoma 14.2 2 weeks ago and have tried dowloading the Sky Go app multiple times but it doesn't work. When I click on the SkyGoInstaller app in my dowloads folder the progress bar appears saying 'dowloading sky go' but when the progress bar is filled the window disappears and nothing happens and the app hasn't been downloaded. I have read around all the relevant forums I can find on here but haven't managed to resolve my issue. Anyone know how to fix this?

Got this sorted now.
I right clicked on the downloaded file in the download folder.
Somewhere on there was Open using Rosetta, which I clicked
Then I ran the download and got a message asking if I wanted to download Rosetta
This downloaded and then Sky Go also downloaded.

I have exactly the same problem. Bought a new macbook Air specifically for my 86 year old mother to use Sky Go as her old laptop was not new enough, now it appears that this one is too new. Looking around I may need to install Rosetta 2 as the chip is no longer an Intel one, but cannot find any info on how to do this.

I have an intel macbook pro 2011 and 2012 running open source Sequoia and after yesterdays update I have Sky down on both macs again I used to be able to fix this by zapping the Pram then installing an older version and then got the update but that is not working anymore.
The app bounces twice and then dissapears I don't even get the error anymore, this happend on both machines yesterday 28/10/2024
