I was having the same problem with windows 11 and Sky Go not loading on my normal windows account.
I logged into windows 11 using an admin account and installed Sky Go and it worked on that account.
I then went back to my normal windows account and reinstalled Sky Go and it started working in my normal account. I was asked to approve windows firewall rules with admin account password.
Version now says 24.1.3-2 after updates.

Glad you got it working, however I only have 1 account on Windows 11 which is an admin account and I've had the problem for more than 2 months now.

Still also doesn't explain why the download page only downloads version 24.1.3.0 and not 24.1.3.2 which is confirmed as the latest version.

you could try setting up another admin account / profile and see if it loads on a fresh profile.
must some reason it worked on the windows account i dont use day to day.

Hello,
It seems to be a combination of a firewall and the anti-virus causing blank Skygo for me. What I did was on Windows 10 go to 'Security' and then firewall and there is a section where you can allow an app through firewall. After that you would then need to go on to your Anti-virus and add Skygo to your allow app list (I use AVG Free). It then worked for me and got the latest version.

@JV1000 appreciate you trying to offer a solution, unfortunately disabling my firewall completely and disabling my antivirus completely (I use BitDefender), still doesn't work. The app still opens with a blank window for a few seconds then closes and I still see the app crash report in Windows Event Viewer.

Hi there,
I am getting the crash too. Tried uninstall, reinstall. Uninstall, REVO clean, reboot and reinstall. No go.
When looking at the event viewer I am getting this error. Every time Sky Go tried to launch.
Faulting application name: Sky Go.exe, version: 24.1.3.0, time stamp: 0x650068b3
Faulting module name: Sky Go.exe, version: 24.1.3.0, time stamp: 0x650068b3

I am a desktop PC. I9 10900k with Intel Z490 chipset.
As you can see, its only version 24.1.3.0. I can not get the software to update to 24.1.3.2. Only one PC account, which is mine and its the Admin account.
Today I tried again, downloaded a fresh installer, and the skygo install direct from sky website only installs 24.1.3.0.
So, considering how it looks like 24.1.3.2 can help people, why is there not a installer for that version? as it appears alot of people who get this error, are getting the problem before the sky go app can update.

Hi everyone,
I've been experiencing repeated crashes with Sky Go (version 24.1.3.0) on my Windows 10 PC, and after some troubleshooting and analyzing the crash dump file, I think I've identified a potential issue.
Crash Details:
Analysis Summary:
The crash seems to be triggered by a breakpoint exception (0x80000003). This exception is usually used by developers during debugging to pause the execution of the program. However, this should not be present in a publicly released version of the software unless it was left in the code accidentally.
Given this, it seems likely that some debug code may have been unintentionally left active in this version of Sky Go, causing the application to crash under certain conditions.

This could explain why its taken so long to fix as it will be hiding in plain sight within the source code and no one will have actually realised its being triggered.
So my uninformed speculation would be that when the development team released the update that has seen it stop working they will have forgotten to disable the debugging code. This would have been active prior to moving it to their live environment but has probably been overlooked as it won't have triggered during their testing as the test runs would need to be clean prior to sign off for deployment.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt might be worth passing this to the apps team at Sky via this email address - apps@sky.uk

Thank you for the suggestion. I have already written to the Sky support team at apps@sky.uk, providing them with details about the issue and the potential cause based on the crash dump analysis. Hopefully, they will be able to address the problem soon.
Best regards,
@dalborgo

It would also be useful if Sky would rewrite the app so that it did not install executables into the user's profile folder - that is really bad practice!

Sky Go App isn't working on Windows 11. I get the uploading message then the big blue play button, then nothing. Is this still an ongoing fault on Sky's part or just my pc?

It's some months that skygo crashes at start: white window and message to Windows.
I tried everything. I read previous message: wonderful research to find an explanation.
