sky go app keeps closing on my Apple Mac desktop it checks for updates and then closes

the sky go app will closes on my apple mac desktop it checks for updates and then closes and the icon disappears for the app bar at the bottom of the screen.  what can I do to fix this? my Mac is up to date with all apple updates operating system macOS Monterey 12.6.5.

This means I can't watch sky go on the mac this is particularly inconvenient as our satelite dish no long works due to neighbouring trees blocking the signal so this means we can't watch sky

The only thing you could try is a complete removal of the app and hidden files and folders it uses:

Uninstall the app

Launch the Finder, go to the Downloads folder and delete ‘SkyGoInstaller.’

In Finder, go to the Applications folder and delete Sky Go app

Remove Sky Go files

In the Finder select Go to folder ... from the Go menu (or press c).

A dialog box should appear. Now copy and paste the following text into the box and press the return key: ~/Library/Application Support/

Select the Sky Go folder and delete it

Empty Recycling Bin

Reboot the Mac

Download and reinstall Sky Go
