Hi
I am having a problem with the Sky Go app just showing the error "Sorry, something went wrong. Your Sky content cannot currently be viewed in this country. For more information, please go to www.sky.com/EUPortability".
I am in the UK, on my home broadband connection (with fixed IP address) and I also get the green banner message stating that the app is "connected to your Sky Q box" when I go into the TV listing.
Any idea on how to fix this? Also one question I have is, given that my iPad and iPhone has GPS, why does it appear to be using my IP address to determine where I am rather than just getting my exact location from the device itself?
Also, why does it need to connect to the internet to stream Sky when it's "connected to the Sky Q box", surely just streaming the channel live from the sky q box would be better?
Thanks
Colin

If you try a search for any 'where is my IP address' services, what result does that bring up?
