"Please upgrade your subscription" error on Sky Go mobile

For the past 2-3 weeks I've been getting the "please upgrade your subscription" message when trying to watch Sports channels through Sky Go mobile, on Android.

 

I obviously have the sports subscription and it works fine on my desktop PC.

 

This appears to be the same error as reported in January (link below). I've tried reinstalling the App but it makes no difference. Do we just need to wait for Sky to fix it again?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
This isn't a live chat so replies may not be instant.

Can you provide some more details like are you new to Sky or a returning customer, what are you trying to watch etc..

I have this problem as well - have sky sports subscription but won't let me watch on my phone or iPad? Tried it on different phones and iPads - same issue.

I've reinstalled the app and still no joy. 
desperate to get this fixed as my son is in hospital and desperate to get the football on!

Further detail: long time sky subsrciber but only got sky sports added just over a week ago. 
please help- my son is bored senseless in hospital with a broken leg and will be in for a few days!!!
