Re: Weird graphic overlay making picture look awful
I've just had SkyGo upgrade and I now see this overlay, more pronounced on my HDR monitor than on my non-HDR monitor, but it is there on both.
What I've noticed it only appears to happen on programs that require a "parental pin" to watch (and that pin is another issue cosidering I have parental controls turned off). (and don't get me started on programs stalling while SkyGo is connected to your SkyQ box)
Try watching Game of Thrones before the watershed and it asks for a pin, will try later when it doesn't ask for a pin and see if the overlay still appears.
Either way, I think it's a SkyGo issue as Windows would no idea what programs your watching in SkyGo, yet another reason to hate this player, it really has to be the worst player available, why can't Sky play through your browser just like other services do.

Re: Weird graphic overlay making picture look awful
It is a remarkably poor piece of software, works sometimes & not others. At present, it 'sort of' works on my laptopm, but the bar at the bottom of the screen with the volume floats about, and the controls on the right side don't work at all. But, this forum doesn't actually help at all apart from being a place to moan. I don't think anyone who has anything to do with the support of this software (if there is one) ever looks at it.

Re: Weird graphic overlay making picture look awful
Hi,
Problem solved.
Got rid of Sky and 'Sky Go'.
Now, using 'Now' tv in browser with no issues at all.
Cheers anyway.

Re: Weird graphic overlay making picture look awful
I have 3 monitors, one a HD monitor (1920x1080), a Display Port one (2560x1440) and the other HDMI (also 2560x144), yes the pattering is very visible on DP, but although not so pronounced it's still there on HDMI, going to the HD monitor and it's gone, so it appears the highter resolution and on DP and it get bad.
