Hi, I am also having the same issue. Unable to log in to sky app on Apple TV. Says my email needs to be verified and shows a QR code that just takes me to my sky log in page. 
I have set up security questions.

does sky have a resolution ?

Just signed up to Sky and also having this problem with the SkyGo app on Apple TV. 

My email is verified but unable to log in and the QR code just takes me to a blank page with code text on it

So I had the same thing... it is related to security question, but on the phone it was not possible for the person on the other end of the call to update my security question for me.  It was also not possible from the Sky ID section of my sky account.  I manged to resolve it the following way:

First log in to sky account.

...then go to the following address.  From here it will be possible to update your security question.

NOTE:  If you go the url before logging in, you will just be taken to the standard login screen.  To update the security question, you must go to the URL after logging in.  I hope that this helps a few people out here!

Thank you for sharing the link - I managed to add a security question and it started working. 

Too bad it's only 720p though sky being crafty there... might have to switch to Now TV as it's cheaper.

Can someone escalate this for me also? Things I have done: 

- updated Apple 4K tv box 

- changed email address (re-verifying my account)

- updated security question 

- deleted app and re downloaded 

still on the "we couldn't log you in" page telling me my email address has not been verified. When I scan the QR code it brings me nowhere of use. I am logged in on my phone and iPad no problem. I do not have multi room but this was not a problem before? I don't want to watch sky simultaneously in more than one room.. which is what multi room is for. I just want to be able to watch it in one room, on my Apple 4K tv box (the sky stream puck is not in use when I'm using the Apple 4K tv box). This is so frustrating.

"With Sky Go, you can watch content on up to two devices simultaneously; you can increase this number to four if you have Sky Q Multiscreen." so I am well within the limits. 

also this: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/managing-devices-and-streaming-sky-go - you can register up to 6 devices for sky go and freely swap in or out devices at any time. Again, this Apple TV box will only be my second device. (Removing my phone and iPad, as I just wanted to check if the sky go was working on those to test) I only want sky go on the Apple TV box additionally.
