Some channels not working on Sky Go on Windows 10.
I spent about an hour on the phone with Sky Technical Support (STS) today. I started getting problems using Sky Go about a week ago from both my Windows 10 laptop and my Android phone. Reinstalling on my Android device fixed the issues but an attempt to uninstall from my laptop failed. STS were very helpful and explained about Reactivating Sky Go from my Sky Q box. Then I reinstalled the app onto my laptop and it started to work.
However several channels (not most) failed to Play, including all of Sky Sports for which my subscription is current. Eventually STS said they could not help further saying it must be a local issue with my laptop. However Windows 10 and all my Drivers etc are up-to-date. Switching off the Firewall mad no difference. My suspicion is that there is some bug in the Windows version of Sky Go.
This evening I tried to play the Sky Sports Tennis channel and it failed with the usual 1404-IH error. The tennis in Washington DC is currently being promoted on the Sky Go Homepage, so I tried to Play it from there. Lo & behold it worked! However if I try to Play it through the TV Guide channel list it fails with the 1404 error.
It all continues to work frine through my Android phone via the same WiFi network.
Can anyone help with this issue?
Many thanks
Vince

Re: Some channels not working on Sky Go on Windows 10.
To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you sometime tomorrow morning regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.
This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:
https://community.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147
When the chat bubble does appear you will have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. To start the conversation just type in it.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Some channels not working on Sky Go on Windows 10.
Thank you to those who tried to help me with this. I spent several hours chatting with Techical Support identifying that several channels were not available to stream on Sky Go on my laptop. All was up-to-date on the laptop and after trying a few 'fixes' they requested the precise config of my machine which I supplied in order to pass this onto their app developers. They said the timescale for a fix was unknown and their escalation request would be subject to its being "accepted". This was, I believe, on Friday 2nd August.
The last question I asked was whether I would be notified if it was "accepted". I went back into the chat a couple of times over Saturday and Sunday but there had been no response. I now cannot find the chat and presume they have closed it.
The issue remains exactly the same but I do not know what to do next. Please could someone advise?
Many thanks
Vince
