SkyGo won't start on my PC (OK yesterday). I tried to reload but won't install just get error messag

SkyGo won't start on my OC running Windows 11 (it worked OK yesterday).
I tried to reload from my Sky account but it won't install just get an error message "Delete File failed. Code 5 Access denied"

Same here - I assume it's a result of yesterday's global IT outage? Coud take days to fix

Not sure how someone elses broken antivirus update borking their Windows install will cause your locally installed apps to stop launching, but we are talking Windows here 🙂 Just glad I use Xbox for Sky Go and Linux on my PCs 🙂

well i'm not buying a games thing or linux just to run sky go,i think its mo re of a sky f/up,come on Sky sort it and i'm a Diamond Sky user/member+

FYI, Linux does not run Sky Go that's why I need an Xbox 🙂 If it was an issue caused by the IT outage then reports are it could take weeks to fully fix but I'm doubting this is what is causing Sky Go to fail to launch

Maybe a broken install of windows and/or the Sky Go app or local firewall issue

Same problem here on windows 10. So I then tested on my son's windows 11 laptop and same issue. Something is wrong Sky! Recent attempts to launch just bring black box up and then after a while it crashes/shuts itself. I have Sky Go desktop app on my mac and no problems on there. Issue is bespoke to windows

now sorted,this is W11,i noticed my anti virus wanted to do a restart  so did that i  then downloaded s/go and it worked lol
