SkyGo no longer working on my MacBook Air

I open the Sky Go app and it loads but then no information appears i.e. it just has the spinning circle on a blue background. If I select TV guide for instance, no schedule appears, just the blue background remains. 

I have deleted the app, emptied the bin, rebooted and reinstalled, that didn't work. 

Sky can't help and referred me here. Help appreciated! IMG_2956.jpeg

Could there by anything on your Mac that is blocking the app like a firewall ?

Not to my knowledge, it's worked fine for ages and now doesn't.
