Hi, it appears I do not have it however it worked last week. What has changed? This feels very unfair having been a Sky customer for over 20 years

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe TV from Sky app has been replaced with the Sky Go app the new app correctly checks your sunscriptions where the earlier app has a bug and let people have access who should not have had it, so you have been lucky all this time having access you shouldn't have had 🙂

I wouldn't consider myself lucky that the app had a bug. I was under the impression that Sky Go would add a console as a device. It feels unfair that a service has been stripped away based Sky's incompetence at building apps. I relied on this service and now have no way to access Sky. Additionally, I was never made aware of this by Sky and had to find this out via this forum. Please escalate this to Sky as I wish to complain and take this further.

I've seen that this has been a hot topic as of late across the forum with other members having it escalated for them. Is this something you could do for me please?

We escalate if they have Sky Go Extra or Multiscreen on there account and still cannot access Sky Go, as you have neither on your account this is the reason you cannot access Sky Go, so you'll need to add one of these to your account

Having the same issue. Sky please advice how to fix this issue? Its pathetic that an app update can take down the use of Sky go to rightful consumers who pay for this service.

Hi Steven,
Thats great that they sorted it for you.
Did they fix this over the phone and just switch that on? Did they charge you extra for this service?
At the moment they dont seem to be sure if its the App or the Sky Go Extra subscription. we have had Sky Go Extra for years as a reward and its always the first thing i make sure we have when we renew our contracts... and now they are saying we may have to pay extra for something we already had and they removed with no warning... very confusing.
It appears to be an issue only with the Xbox Series X App. my sky Go works fine on all other devices. so its baffling why its only an issue for Xbox and its also a coincidence that its a new app update that has caused it.
If the only solusion is to add sky Go Extra, I think £5 extra a month for this is very cheeky. Its something we have always had and there was no warning of anything changing.
