Hello Everyone
I've got sky stream & I understand 2 devices can be added so I had it working on the latest Apple TV no problem but it won't work on my Xbox series X which is strange.
I also understand that there's a separate sky go extra subscription @£5.00 per month & it clearly states in the wording OR A SKY GO EXTRA SUBSCRIPTION indicating that there's no need for sky multi room or sky q or sky glass.
I've only been reinstated with sky stream 2 days ago & I do specifically asked about sky go for my Xbox because granddaughter watches the cartoons on it when she's over... after multiple failures of the pucks previously over many attempts to enjoy sky stream which is working without issues.
Yet I'm offered the multi room for £6.50 a month but obviously it defeats the purpose of using my Xbox series X in the bedroom.
I've called regarding this matter and they suggested the multi room which is utter nonsense as it clearly states
theres a separate sky go extra subscription which is wot I want not an extra multi room puck.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMultiscreen is a subscripition for Sky Q customers so as a Sky Stream customer you would need the Whole Home package.

Hello
That's wrong as it clearly says OR a sky go extra subscription as it's clear on the message on the Xbox screen or indeed posts on this forum aswell as on sky via Google.
My understanding of the word OR means or not that it's also required as OR definitely doesn't mean that in any dictionary I've seen.

The OR is for if you have different services ie Sky Glass/Stream OR Sky Q, Glass/stream customers will not have multiscreen as that is a Sky Q/Sky Plus (satellite TV) package

That's incorrect as OR wouldn't form part of that sentence it's quite obvious.

I'm afraid it's just bad copywriting by Sky, added to a desire to reduce the use of Go Extra (which is an account complication) and limit the options to Go plus either Multiscreen or Whole Home to extend its functionality.
The Help pages still show Go Extra should permit console use, although they don't for Apple TV boxes.

However a second Help page appears to exclude Glass/Stream users from Go Extra itself and mandates Whole Home to gain Go Extra functionality.
