I connect my Xbox to a monitor instead of a tv and when this is the case Sky go won't work on the monitor. When I connect to a tv it works just fine. Is there any reason for this? It used to work I think at some stage. The monitor is a Lenovo G27c-10.
Anyone any ideas or help?

Would it not come up with a warning to say this is the case?

Not necessarily, no. As @Annie+UK indicates, it's the most likely reason (Q does require HDCP) and this page would seem to indicate that particularly monitor doesn't have it, which would seem to be a rather odd choice by Lenovo.

Thanks for that. I can understand if I was connecting my Q box but seems odd when running through Xbox. Any idea if there could be a work around?

I would think that the majority of xboxes are connected to a TV and not a monitor

If I tried playing a dvd/blu ray through monitor would there be problems too?

Probably, yes: commercial optical disks will almost always require HDCP as a fundamental anti-piracy measure.

There is a very big probability that you'll have a problem, anything that requires HDCP will fail if the display does not have HDCP, this is to prevent the pirating of copy protected content
