yet another update and sky go has gone TU AGAIN.. skygo launches then crashes repeatedly on both machines -another 4 hours wasted getting this c***p working
following advice in other post re data and time format i changed long date as suggested to no affect.
looking in temp as usual i found sky go is trying to download an udpate for skygo_production_24_2_2_gb_Production.exe dispite the installer being for 24_2_3
taking the date advice further i changed windows sytem, region and date formats to US standard and viola, it started downloading SkyGo_production_25.1.2_gb_production but it stalls downloading at different file sizes but never completes
as BIGA suggested "region date needs to be set to Long Date change it to Day, 00 Month Year (or dddd, dd MMMM yyyy)" - you also need to set short date to 06/02/2025 (dd/mm/yyyy)
regional settings also need to be set to United kingdom, both region and regional format
second machine was a different matter, only way that worked was copy the install from working machine then re-run the installer for production_24_2_3
dunno what the problem was but apparently there is no update both machines appear to be running version 24_2_3 not 25

How the hell is this still an issue, it's been nearly a full year since I was last able to actually use Sky Go on my computer, every time I attempt to load it, it just immediately crashes after a few seconds. No update fixes it, exhausted every "solution" with no resolution and it's just radio silence from Sky on the issue.

yet another month passes and yet another issue with sky go update failing
NO i am just about sick and tyred of this crap
NO if i delete the contents of folders X or Y i will loose all programs i have downloaded and can not redownload because for some god damned known reason you can only download programs twice
it has been pointed out numerous times to the Devs that the date formatting you are using is BREAKING updates when you relese updates
YOUR devs NEED to change their systems to be comply to use UK standard date format ie dd/mm/yy your customers should not be expected to change their system dates to US date format

oh and yes still cant edit posts for some reason
OH AND FOR SOME STUPID reason i STILL can not update my previous post
changing date format to 31/03/2025 is NOT an acceptable resolution to the problem.. oh yeah well it works but **bleep** do are you dictating how my system must be set
or oh wait next month the date format will need to be changed again... if memory serves i needed to change my date format last time be able to install... everybody should be able to install updates without having to constantly change system settings because your devs are incompitent
SORT YOUR ACT OUT
I AM A UK SKY customer.. sky go WILL NOT WORK outside of the UK why are you dictating we must use certain date formats to be able to install updates

**bleep** becuse ive changed XYZ all my previously downloaded programs have now apparenly vannished and i must watch online with adverts.. sorry but NO im paying for a premium serivce I should not need to watch adverts
