Hi,
I have seen a very similar post where a person is having the same problems as me. Back in December 2022 I installed Sky go and it worked fine, but this week I click on the app and it comes up looking for updates and then shuts down. I have deleted and installed the app, I have deleted the app and waited over night and it still just opens, looks for updates and closes down. I have tried installing and uninstalling a number of times, cleared the junk, emptied the recycle bin... Any further hints??

Uninstall the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:
Sky
Sky Go
And if it is present the Cisco and/or Synamedia folder in App\Data\LocalLow.
Empty your recycle bin.
Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

I had done everything, and I have just gone through the whole thing again, but still I only get the app window to pop up and say looking for update and then close down on me, so th all is still not working.

Having exactly the same issue as are many people. Sky Technical support are no help, they don't have a clue. Best advice they could give is remove any snippet or video capture software from your device. I have a brand new Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11 Home and no other software. I asked if anything particular on Windows 11 I needed to delete and again Sky had no clue. I pay for multi room and Sky Go is a big part of how I use my expensive Sky subscription and all I get is a fob off.

I followed these instructions to the letter and I am afraid it still will not work on my Surface Studio.
