Sky go app issue watching sports

I consistently get the following message when trying to watch sky sports channels on my sky go apps (both iPhone and iPad). Have tried the usual reset/reinstall/login but nothing works. Other channels work fine.

If the app is connected to a Sky Q box then try turning the setting off in the settings on the app. Something else to try is to reboot your broadband router.

I am having the same issue on my iPhone.

 

I can watch any other channels, including BT Sport, Sky Movies, ITV etc. on Sky Go, all other streaming apps working fine and 4G connection is currently testing at 130Mbps download speed.

 

I have deleted and reinstalled, still cannot watch any Sky Sports channels.

 

I don't get an error message, just a black screen with the whirling white ring of death.

Thanks for the tips. Just tried both of these and no luck. No issue with speed. Doesn't work on 4G either

There is definitely a problem here, but it is hard to pin down.

 

I am at home now and back on WiFi and at first, none of the Sky Sports channels woud still work, yet all the others I tried on Sky Go did.

 

Then, all of a sudden, they started working. However, turn off WiFi and I am unable to stream Sky Sports again but all other channels still work.

 

The services checker says everything is OK, I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, restarted the device (iPhone 12 Pro) twice, tried 4G and Wifi, been connected to a Q box, not been connected to a Q box and still Sky Sports are the only channels that will not work on 4G on my phone.

 

Tested on my iPad Air on the same WiFi and 4G (Sky Mobile) and the Sky Sports channels work. My iPhone SIM is Lebara (Vodafone).

 

Speeds yesterday were in excess of 130 Mbps on 4G and it wouldn't work, at home it is a much more modest 30 Mbps, but way in excess of what is needed for Sky Go.

 

Watching sport on the move is the only reason for me to use Sky Go and it is the only thing I cannot seem to do at the moment, any suggestions? How do I raise a fault with Sky on an app they say is working well?
