I used to be with Sky but cancelled due to the prices being far too high.
Recently found a really good deal with Sky and so signed up again but because I've got an account with them previously with the same email address, I can't seem to use Sky Go on my phone to view anything.
I checked other forums and people are saying to unlink the email address but it won't allow me to do it.
Is there any other way as I have a different account number to what I had previously.

Then remove the email address from it, you will need to provide another but as it is an old account it doesn't matter what you put in there.
Then if you haven't already you can then setup a new Sky ID to use to login to Sky Go with:
https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

I tried that earlier but it won't allow me as it says error when I try to confirm.
Any other suggestions?

I presume this is when you are trying to remove the email address ?
To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to 24 hours to be contacted via this.
