Sky Go won't accept my UK account on Mac

Hello! I have used Sky Go in the past with my Italian account in Italy on my Macbook. Then I deleted the app and have since moved to the UK and subscribed to Sky here.

I have downloaded the app on my Iphone, which works just fine. Now I've downloaded it on my Macbook and it defaults to the Italian content. When I try to sign in with my UK Sky account, it does not recognise it as the app expects my Italian account  (different email address). The macbook is up to date and the language setting is Italian, same as my Iphone. Hope someone can help.

Are you sure you have removed all references to the Italian version of the app as this is how to do it with the UK one:

 

Uninstall the app 

Launch the Finder, go to the Downloads folder and delete ‘SkyGoInstaller.’ 

In Finder, go to the Applications folder and delete Sky Go app 

Remove Sky Go files 

In the Finder select Go to folder ... from the Go menu (or press c). 

A dialog box should appear. Now copy and paste the following text into the box and press the return key: ~/Library/Application Support/ 

Select the Sky Go folder and delete it 

Empty Recycling Bin 

Reboot the Mac

Download and reinstall Sky Go

Yes, I'm signing in using my UK account. It works perfectly on sky.com and the Iphone, the only problem is my Mac.
