Sky Go stuck and crashing - over and over and over.
Earlier this year SkyGo was suddenly stuck endless on the loading screen - I couldn't click on anything or watch anything.
After talking to Sky - who didn't have a workable solution, I went to Apple who suggested Sky had some software stuck in my Mac system, which is why despite deleting and reinstalling the app, it was still getting stuck. They recomended I create a new User Profile on my Macbook. This worked - hooray! - not ideal and Sky didn't understand why this worked, but it did.
Now, the app is stuck in an endless loop of updating, downloading, installing - opening for half second before crashing and restarting the process all over again! I tried the trick of creating a new user profile, but encounter the same issue. It still works on my phone though so I'm really baffled by this.
Anyone with similar issues or know how to fix?
This is incredibly frustrating

I have a similar issue on a Microsoft Laptop with Win11. The Sky Go app starts, then seems to stick, then shuts itself down and disappears. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the Sky Go app but the same happened.

Hey @purplemango, that's an odd one.. just a suggestion do you have ad blockers and Apple private relay disabled on both user profiles as suggested here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-go-fix-problems-t2

Yeah, exactly - it's completely unsuable.
I've spoken to Sky experts and taking the computer to Apple and no one has a solution, it's incredibly frustrating!

Re: Sky Go stuck and crashing - over and over and over.
I have two PC laptops, the old one with Windows 10 and the new one with Windows 11. The Windows 10 laptop has no problem with SkyGo. The Windows 11 one has always had the same issue described above. I too have tried the various solutions prescribed by the Community, and contacted Sky Technical Help, all to no avail. Is it possible that Windows 11 is involved in some way....?
