@ColinJ75 The answer has been posted already.
Turning off 'connect to SKYQ box' in the SKYGO settings has now listed the UHD channels as HD. Why couldn't SKY just tell people that?!!

I agree, thanks to @RARugby for the solution! Can't even delete posts for the forum but I'm happily watching F1 in the garden now.

Sky go will not play any UHD content, it does not even play full HD, it only plays at a max 720p accross all devices. You can only play UHD content on UHD compatible boxes or glass tv.
