Hi all,
wondered if anyone has any experience of issues with Sky Go not linking to Sky Q box. I've recently returned to sky, and with the new login details been using Sky Go. I realised I forgot to set up a series to record so did this on Sky Go and it said it sent a request to the box but nothing happened. This has happened several times now. The same happens when asking to download a show to the box.
I have been able to use Sky Go to change channel on the box though using the remote in the app so it seems to be partly linked but not for recording or downloading.
Any help gratefully received!!

Hi! Thanks for the advice. Yes, the viewing card number is the same.

I am having the same issues did you get this fixed? Sky don't seem to know what to do

Hi. No I didn't. I've just accepted it doesn't work haha.
On the Sky Q box, I've noticed that in settings and status it stats that my. Box is not enabled to connect to Sky Go and when I have clicked reactivate it it fails every time. Not sure if that's the right place to try but can't find anywhere else

Hi. No unfortunately not! I tried to set a remote record while away and it didn't work so still no further forward 😞

Sky were not helpful at all. As I said my account was showing old Hd box as my equipment. I had a tablet with the old Sky Hd app on I changed the viewing number to new card now works. .
The problem is you can't download the old app.now. Its because sky go ,my sky and the old sky hd were linked sky could not help at all. My account still shows i am using a sky hd box not q

Yeah Sky have been useless with me, told me lots of different stories one of them being it's a problem they have know about for months but cannot fix, which is weird for a tech company !
