Opened my macOS Sky Go app today, it did an update and restarted. Now the app just bounces once in the dock and doesnt open.
I deleted and reinstalled, as soon as it opened the first time it installed the new update and the same issue persists.
I'm on Sonoma 14.4.1, mac mini M2

Thanks for your patience whilst we have worked to resolve this issue regarding Sky Go on Macs.
Last week, we implemented an update for Sky Go on Macs which resolved an issue stopping users from launching the application. Looking at the thread this last week we have noted a positive drop in user comments on this thread with most of the comments confirming the issue is now resolved for them.
If you are still experiencing any issues, please uninstall Sky Go fully from your MAC and complete a full reinstall. If this hasn't resolved your issue, please reach back out on the Community forum for further help by looking for a thread related to your issue or starting a new discussion. We will be closing this thread moving forward to avoid any other issues being mixed into this thread in future.

Someone please HELPME!
My Macbook will no longer launch the sky go app. Im running Sonoma and have tried deleting all traces of the app then reboot and reinstall all with no luck. The home screen just constantly looks like its trying to load with the whirling circle but never does. I have followed steps outlined in a number of posts on here but nothing seems to work. I have another Mac running Hi sierra which is working fine but support for this will soon stop and i will be left with no sky access at all from computer.

i downloaded the app directly from the the sky site so have no idea what version im using. i deleted and uninstalled the app again today and rebooted but still same. on my mac book i cannot see the version as it doesnt appear in apps as it was downloaded directly from the site

Uninstall the app
Launch the Finder, go to the Downloads folder and delete ‘SkyGoInstaller.’
In Finder, go to the Applications folder and delete Sky Go app
Remove Sky Go files
In the Finder select Go to folder ... from the Go menu (or press c).
A dialog box should appear. Now copy and paste the following text into the box and press the return key: ~/Library/Application Support/
Select the Sky Go folder and delete it
Empty Recycling Bin
Reboot the Mac
Download and reinstall Sky Go

Hi Chloe,
I too downloaded this latest version after several monts not being able to access SkyGo on my Macbook Pro and it still just freezes wit te play symbol and goes no further.
Any ideas?

Exactly the same symptoms here, albeit I'm on Ventura 13.6 and an Intel Mac Mini. Suggested fix doesn't work for me either.

It's definitely an issue with the new update. For me, the (previously working) app auto-updated on open, then stopped loading immediately. Downloading the new installer works initially, but then auto-updates immediately and also stops loading.

I have searched and followed all the deletion/reinstallation advice and still have the same issue as the OP.

i have the same problem with skygo (italian version) on 2 macs.
I have also formated and reseted the macs but skygo doesnt open too.
I also tried to inslall different OS (from Catalina to the last one).
Both Macs have intel processor. One is a Mac Pro (2013) and the other is an Imac.
How can i solve the problem?

Now that we know there's at least 4 of us with the same issue is there any way of escalating this to someone relevant within Sky please?

Same problem here on SkyGo app, italian version.
Macbook pro 2017 and Ventura OS.
I talk to Sky Italy support and they told me to wait for the next app version - I'm not sure they're aware of this issue.
