Sky Go Wont Start up on Windows 11 PC

I've managed to get to get that working via a long winded to and fro from the app to the website. 

That appears to be the sky sports app from 2020.  The sky go app still isn't working.

I've got the same issue as above.  Just swapped laptops from surface pro 6 to a surface pro 11.  Everything worked well (slow) on the old laptop, but same issue as described in this thread on the new machine.  Guess I'm not watching NFL as planned today.  Sort it out sky!

This is very poor on the part of SKY. They are taking our money and not providing a service.

Same issue as previously mentioned, large blue screen - loading updates- then nothing.COME ON SKY GET IT SORTED

Hi,

I get the Blue screen with the large arrow of promise.....then nothing as it goes off !

Trying to view SkyGo from my laptop, windows 11 ....worked no problem for a year+ , then 2 days ago, I got error code 'blah blah bah'

Tried a few times, the same thing happened. 

So, uninstalled, reinstalled from Sky web page,,,,then the same thing...loading then the screen goes off.(4 times).

Really frustrated,

( I've read a few forum lnks, same problem, though no apparent answer).

I have exactly the same problem. Sky app worked fine for years and then suddenly it wouldn't load and gave an error code. So I've uninstalled and reinstalled closed down and rebooted loads of times as instructed. All the app does now is it tries to start up, shows the blue square with white triangle, then it disappears. Then nothing. I don't have citrix on my laptop so it can't be that. I'm at my wits end honestly. Please help us Sky!

I have the same issue on my Windows 11 laptop, the app loads, says checking for updates then just disappears from the screen, no error message or anything.

My desktop PC also running Windows 11 works fine, although I opted for the beta version of the app, on my laptop it was the stable version. Unfortunately without the app loading, I cannot get into the settings to change to the beta version so I am stuck. Very annoying with the darts, football and F1 on over the next few days.

Try opening the sky web page, (absolutely terrible web page btw) and get to the point to watch live, then when you can click to watch live it opens the app.

It doesn't seem to make any difference, the app just closes itself. This has been happening for the last 24hrs so hopefully it is just a glitch.

I've hit the same problem. 

Can't open, get java script error message. 

Can't update, get abort /retry/ignore error message

Can't uninstall, get missing uninstall file message. 

Very frustrating.  Has anyone found a solution?

Ok I finally got it to work. I had to uninstall the Sky Go program with a free piece of software called Revoo Uninstaller. When it asks you to scan for parts of the program left over I picked Advanced and selected everything that came up and deleted them.

I then installed Sky Go and it failed but after a reboot it loaded and asked me for permission to access the network and it loaded. It looks like something was blocking it checking for updates and it just crashed the program.

I had the same issue as lots of people here....brand new laptop and skygo would open up and only play selected channels but then would freeze and the only way to watch another channel would be to close the app down and restart. I played around with all settings but nothing made a difference,  however this morning I I stalled nordvpn on my laptop prior to a trip to Australia and connected to an Irish VPN ( I live in Ireland) and opened up skygo and to my amazement everything worked as it should with full functionality of the app. I closed the app down then disconnected from the VPN and reopened skygo and it still fully works. I have no idea as to why this worked but this information might be useful for those of you that are having similar issues. It also worked when i connected it to a UK VPN too
