It was working fine until about 10 days ago when it suddenly stopped loading, since then have tried everything, reboots, reloads of app. etc. All I get after it loads with the usual message of checking for updates is this screen:
Selecting the TRY AGAIN button does nothing.
The app works fine on my mobile phone so not my account or logon.
Any further ideas, I don't think anything has changed on my laptop.

I also had a problem getting Sky Go to work on a W11 desktop. After trying multiple fixes (that weren't) it turned out to be a Registry issue. After fixing that Sky Go has worked fine.

Where is says USERNAME is it the name you use with the PC.
a) Click Start, type 'Firewall' and select Windows Defender Firewall.
b) Top Left of this window, select 'Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall'
c) Bottom Right, click on 'Allow another app.'
d) Click Browse and Manually navigate to the Sky Go exe file using the
e) "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Sky\Sky Go\Sky Go.exe" the location of the exe.
d) Add this exe to your list of Firewall exceptions.
e) Check the list and make sure Sky Go is there and it's box is ticked.
Try Sky Go.

I have exactly the same problem. The helpdesk is hopeless. I've spoken to about five different people, been sent instructions, been given a "job number" from Sky Support, and still no resolution.
Did you manage to sort it?

Last check it was not but haven't tried this weekend. Will recheck on Monday. 16/9

Still not working but I am now starting to think it is something to do with Windows and the App (Windows 11, version 23H2) because I get it working fine on other Apple devices, iPhone & iPad. Going to test on another PC with Windows later on.

What was the issue in the Registry and what did you do to resolve.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI don't know specifically which Registry entry was the cause. I used CCleaner's Registry clean-up tool (with some trepidation) to fix all the issues it found.

Thanx Mark39, did the CCleaner scan and yes it has resolved the issue, got the App working again.
Just very annoying that between Sky and Windows they couldn't advise of a solution or even better insure any upgrades don't cause issues.
