I've been using sky go on my mobile and PlayStation 5 with no issues but I've noticed that my mobile version has options to connect to my sky q box but the PlayStation version does not.
is this by design, a bug or just not implemented yet?

Thanks I thought I was doing something wrong. Are there plans to update the PlayStation app to bring it into line with the full fat version ie. Integration with sky q.

It is by design I believe as it isn't a bug.
