Paid £5 For Sky Go Extra ... But Still Unable To Access My Q Box Recordings Via Laptop.

I have a Sky Q Box and Sky Signature.

 

The Sky Go App can access tv channels and set up recordings on the Sky Q Box, But not view the Recordings made.

 

Resets and reinstalls have not rectified the problem.

 

2 Phone calls and signals sent have not helped.

 

Any ideas please?

AFAIK you can't view recordings on your Q box with Sky Go Extra, you'd need Multiscreen to do that. 

Sky Go Extra just allows you to stream content directly from Sky's servers on the Sky Go app on mobile devices, laptops and consoles, not content stored on your Q box.

Sky have sold me Extra telling me i could.

 

Even on the phone the tech team don't know that.

My Sky Q box wont switch on the ability to link to Sky Go... but Go App on my Laptop was connecting without the ability to view Recordings before i upgraded with the extra £5 a month charge.

Sky Go on your laptop is connecting only for the ability to set remote recordings. It has to be able to 'see' your viewing card number inside the Q box so that it can send the recording information to it.

The Q box itself won't link to Sky Go without a multiscreen subscription. If you did have multiscreen then it would link to and 'see' your other devices and allow you to view recordings stored on the Q box.
